I hate my internet service right now. It can barely connect to anything. As I write this, another tab in Firefox has their main website trying to load their maintenance schedule. Seriously, dude, it's been down for two hours, and it was down even longer than that yesterday! Give me a break!

Well, in my boredom and restlessness, I dug up old art that I never finished/showed anybody and worked it into a feasible WIP.

So-- Harry Potter characters as echidnas. This was inspired by the RP I was in back in 2005. I tend to get very invested in my RPs, I think. But anyway, the first six should be fairly recognizable if you take into account the fact that I made each echidna the same color as their house (i.e. gryphindors are red, ravenclaws are blue, etc.). Wow, I don't even remember how to spell Griffindor. Shows how long I've been out of the loop.

Speaking of out of the loop, I don't remember who a few of these characters were supposed to be. I didn't recognize Cho except for the fact that I put her name in the filename. The other random ravenclaw... couldn't tell ya. He was a big part of the RP, too, which makes it that more shameful.

LoL, Hannah Abbott... her mun's alias had these huge boobs and was always posing in these very innocent yet provocative pics, which the mun used for icons. She and Draco had a lot of sex. It was the first RP I'd been in that had tons and tons of sex. I... am not sure if that was a good thing.

So, let's see... We have, from left to right, Luna, Ron, Harry, Hermione, Draco, Pansy, Lisa (the char I played, who had a crush on--), Ernie, Hannah, Ravenclaw-I-Can't-Remember, and "the breasts," Lavender and Parvati. I'm surprised I didn't get around to drawing Padma and Zach, who were some of Lisa's closest friends. Guess I was too busy shipping Lisa/Ernie.

...Pfff, the main reason I shipped Lisa/Ernie was because both of the avatar actors were in Boy Meets World and there were a couple of cute screenshots of them kissing each other. Um, okay, me.

Just for the sake of remembering crap I'm sure I'll forget, each character's respective character had avatar pictures of:

nothing, just random icons to show off Luna's out-of-it-ness; Rupert Grint; Daniel Radcliff; Emma Watson; some guy with bleach-blonde hair I can't remember; some chick I never knew the name of; Linda Cardellini , Fred Savage; some Brittish chick with huge boobs and curly blonde hair (she's famous, I guess, but I don't know who she is); Katie Holmes; some asian chick I don't recognize; ... used to know but can't remember...; the girl from "Lolita," and Parminder Nagra.\

Goddamn, I can't believe I don't remember who that Ravenclaw guy is. There was a Terry and a someone else, and the someone else is that guy. The Terry I drew looked atrocious, so I didn't include it, even though Lavender and Parminder never made it past the sketching stages, obviously. Most were in the same grade, if that helps any.

I also played Goyle and Mea played Crabbe, but my attempts at drawing them as echidnas fell flat, so I didn't include them.

Three and a half years later, and I've forgotten so much. It's pathetic. I visited their site recently to see what was up. Apparently someone took up Lisa and changed her avatar. Pity. Linda is so pretty. ...Pfff, Lisa had a hedgehog for a pet. That was awesome. I hope the current mun kept ol' Demeter around, too.

Heh, Susan. Her mun was... a little crazy/obsessive. I think the char was dumped and the mun banned by the time I drew this, but she was such a huge presence in the RP until she left that I guess I had to include her.

Yeah, so, I was sorta inspired to post this because Coral and Laina are totally into their toons on their HP RP. I admit I'm envious and wish I could participate, too, but my love for Harry Potter died when J.K.R. herself called a good number of her fanbase "Delusional" for looking deep into her writing to see if we could pick up on the subtle hints she so obviously was emphasizing. I'm sorry, but if you write all mysteriously and expect people to try to figure it out, don't go around laughing at us if we get it wrong. That's just lame, dude.

Did I mention one of the muns (the one who played Ron) lives right down the street from me by coincidence? She does. We met in L.A. and were like "holy shit, we can carpool!" Nuts, man. It's nuts.

If some of these seem familiar, it's because the Lisa/Ernie pic I used in my DevID for awhile, and because the first 6 chars were used in a wallpaper I made that D.A. deleted for copyright infringement. I used a screenshot from Dark Age of Camelot for the background, and I guess that violated their terms of service. Oh well.

P.S. If you know what I'm referring to in regards to "delusional," please don't argue with me over it. It hit a sore spot and I'm tired of defending my stance on it. Yes, Ron/Hermione happened. That doesn't mean there weren't hints at Harry/Hermione. At least in terms of a healthy relationship. I'll never 'ship Ron/Hermione because I view it as unhealthy, which I also don't want drama over, but just take my word that that interview with JKR hit a sore nerve and made me swear off the series for the rest of my life. I wish it didn't, but them's the breaks.
